The “Cadeau voor de Co” event in Openbaar Entrepot voor de Kunsten (OPEK) Leuven gathered various speakers to inspire and support medical interns in their professional and personal development. One of the highlights was the presentation by Machteld Huber, the founder of the Positive Health concept. Huber inspired the attending interns with her vision of health, emphasizing resilience and self-management. Her presentation, titled “The Renewed Perspective of Positive Health,” provided new insights and motivation to the future doctors.
A key theme of the day was ‘Meaningfulness’. This is particularly relevant as the youth represents the future, including our upcoming and young doctors. They are the hands-on caregivers in an aging and silvering society, working in a sector that is under pressure and in need of transformation. It is crucial for young doctors to maintain their balance, both at home and at work, navigating the stressful context with their heads and hearts in harmony.
Cadeau voor de Co – Vlaanderen is an initiative by social pedagogue Livia Verlinden, inspired by the Dutch event of the same name, Cadeau voor de Co, by Dr. Wico Mulder in collaboration with Dr. Ehsan Natour and others.
